You didn't say, but you should uninstall McAfee. It is one of the main troublemakers. After you have uninstalled, get the rest out using the tool here: http://tinyurl.com/yohh76

You will find that the free AVG or AVAST anti-virus programs are more compatible with Windows...

Go to Tools, Accounts, tceles that mail account, Properties, Servers. Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication." If that was already unchecked, which antivirus are you running?
